Sterling, VA – Strongbridge LLC, a software development and data strategy company serving the federal government, has been awarded a two-year, $2.6M contract, including options, by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to create a repository for the collection of state and local jurisdiction provided crash data.

FMCSA, one of the 11 agencies within the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), develops and enforces data-driven regulations that balance motor carrier (truck and bus companies) safety with efficiency and harnesses safety information systems to focus on higher risk carriers in enforcing the safety regulations. This contract award allows Strongbridge to assist FMCSA in their partnership with Federal, state, and local enforcement agencies to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.

Strongbridge’s experts in transportation data management will develop and deploy a crash reporting and collection module for FMCSA stakeholders, internal and state partners, to collect and analyze information related to large commercial vehicle crashes. Through this application, FMCSA will further improve the efficiency of their data pipeline, allowing access of data for improved decision-making and analysis.
