Sterling, VA – Strongbridge LLC, a software integrator serving the federal government, has been awarded a three-year $10.6M contract by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) to provide operations, maintenance, and software development for the Pipeline Data Mart (PDM).

PHMSA is responsible for the regulation of hazardous materials transportation by highway, rail, air, water, and pipeline as set forth in Federal hazardous materials transportation and pipeline safety law. The PDM system serves as a crucial tool for PHMSA’s safety mission by collecting and distributing information on pipeline and hazardous materials (Hazmat) safety.

The Strongbridge team, with more than 20 years of experience supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) safety goals, has partnered with long-time PHMSA contractor, GovCIO, to provide this crucial tool for PHMSA’s safety mission.  Through this project, the team of Strongbridge and GovCIO will collect and distribute information on pipeline and hazmat safety, and support various activities such as regulation development, enforcement, and immediate response to inquiries from multiple stakeholders.
